Martha "Marie" Harper

Martha "Marie" Harper (nee Kerns), age 83, of South Amherst, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Amherst Manor.
She was born on December 7, 1926 in Spencer, West Virginia, moving to South Amherst in 1962.
She was a very active member of the West Ridge Enterprise Baptist Church. She enjoyed anything that involved her church.
Martha is survived by her sons; Ronnie, of FL, Terry, of Amherst, and Larry, of S. Amherst, 6 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and her sisters; Ruby, of TX, Geneal and Hazelene, both of W. VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Doy, in 2000, a son, Roy, in 2003, brothers; Darrell, Earl, Robert, and Virgil, sisters; Olea and Sylvia, and her parents; Peter and Sybil Kerns.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 5, from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm, at West Ridge Enterprise Baptist Church, 46280 Telegraph Road, S. Amherst, OH. The Rev. Bill Fraley, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, is handling arrangements.
