Mary V. Anchors, (nee Schall), age 96, of Lorain, died on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at her residence at Angel Adult Care.
She was born on May 20, 1909 in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, living in New Kensington, PA before moving to Lorain 1942.
She worked for Bendix Westinghouse as an assembler for 30 years, retiring in 1977.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Elyria and the Elizabeth Stevens Women's Circle of the church. She was also a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge #479.
She enjoyed flower gardening and sewing.
She is survived by her daughters: Arlene Ward, of Lorain and Patricia Diedrick, of Elyria, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: Walter A. Anchors in 1978, sister: Ethel Huey 2 brothers: James O. Schall and Jacob "Curtis" Schall.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2006 from 6-8p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
