Mary J. Arquillo (nee Bower), age 94, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, October 03, 2022, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing in Parma following a lengthy illness.
Born February 23, 1928, in Bradenville, PA, she moved to Lorain in 1951
Mary was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain, Marian Guild and the Disabled American Veterans Louis Pall Proy Chapter 20 Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Arquillo of North Ridgeville, Frank Arquillo of South Amherst; a daughter, Annette Reisner of Pepper Pike; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Herman Bowers; and a sister, Jenny Krinock.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rocco in 2003; parents, John and Anna (nee Phillo) Bowers; sons, Thomas Arquillo, Lawrence Arquillo, John Arquillo; brothers, James Bowers, and Paul Bowers; and sisters, Josephine Wilsons, Edith “Dee-Dee” Bowers, and Florence Uteerback.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Deacon Paul Heise will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
