Mary R. Koler

Mary R. Koler (nee Carpino) 92, of Lorain, died Tues., March 1, 2016 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake.
Born Nov. 21, 1923 in Weston, W. VA, she came to Lorain in 1942.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish, Lorain, where she volunteered many hours at the church and school. Mary was a homemaker and enjoyed baking.
Surviving is her son, Russ of Lorain; daughter, Kathryn Harris of Lorain; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; a brother, Louie Carpino of Lorain; and a sister, Kay Trunzo of Glassport, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son, Peter; daughter, Barb Koler; grandson, Mark; and 9 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:30 am in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Mass will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish, 2143 Homewood Dr., Lorain. Rev. John C. Retar, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
