Mary Lou Mesler (nee Molnar), age 93, of Elyria, died Monday, January 6, 2025, at her residence while under the care of Cleveland Clinic Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Born July 11, 1931, in Elyria, she lived in South Lorain until moving to Elyria in 2000.
Mary Lou was a homemaker who enjoyed going to dinner, cooking, and trips to Cedar Point.
She was a dedicated worker who worked in packaging at First Choice Packaging in Elyria for a few years until the business closed. She was also a member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Lorain.
Surviving are her sons, James Mesler and John Mesler; daughters, Karon Harrell and Sharon Cruz; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John, in 1998; parents, John and Margaret (nee Pachuta) Molnar; a brother, John “Sonny” Miller; and sisters, Madeleine Miller and Marilyn Kowalczyk.
Graveside services will be on Friday at noon in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists in Lorain are handling the arrangements.
