Mary Lou Morris, (nee Zelinski), age 51, of Columbia Station, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at her residence, following a year long illness.
She was born on May 6, 1953 in Fairview Park. She had lived in Brookpark prior to moving to Columbia Station in 1983.
She was a 1971 graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Cleveland. She received her RN degree in 1980 from Lorain County Community College.
Mary Lou was employed as a Registered Nurse at Southwest General Health Center, Middleburg Heights, OH, until she left to be a full time mom and home school her 5 children.
She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elyria.
She was an avid seamstress, specializing in vestments for area priests, church adornments, folk costumes, international festival items, knitting and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years: Alexander, mother: Irene (nee Conrad) Zelinski, of Brookpark, sons: Peter Morris, Joseph Morris, both of Columbia Station, daughters: Sandy Morris, Mary Beth Morris and Valerie Morris, all of Columbia Station, brothers: Dale Zelinski, of Brookpark, Gene Zelinski, of Litchfield and Richard Zelinski of Brookpark, sister: Judy Transue of Trenton, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her father: Val Zelinski.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2005 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a parish rosary will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. and a parastas service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. by Rev. Fr. Basil Stoyka, pastor of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 11:00 a.m. mass at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. James Ols, pastor will officiate. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
