Mary A. Seskar (nee Uszak), age 86, of Lorain, passed away unexpectedly, on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at her home.
She was born on March 12, 1925, in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she and her husband were joined in marriage on August 10, 1946. She was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Stanislaus as well. She was currently a member of The Catholic Church of St. Peter.
Mary had worked at General Industries until she got a married, and then took on her role as a wife and mother. In her younger years, she enjoyed ceramics, bicycling, hiking, and going camping.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank C., Jr., her 3 daughters; Karen Matyas, Janice Seskar, and Sharon (Jack E.) Lewis, all of Lorain, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Agnes (nee Busko) Uszak, brothers; Frank, in 1977, Joseph, in 1993, and a sister, Helen Zadekas, in 2006.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 2, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where closing prayers will be held on Friday, at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am, at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. Craig M. Havanec, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
