Marylin Lee Gutschmidt, 70, of Lorain, died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at Golden Acres Lorain County Home, Amherst, following a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 12, 1934 in Danville, Illinois, she lived in Holland, Michigan before coming to Lorain in 1994.
Surviving are her sons, Ralph Woodward of Amherst, Rob Woodward of Chrisman, Illinois, and Ray Bennett of Huntsville, Alabama, daughters, Sherri Johnson and Melissa Daly both of Danville, Illinois, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Sue Bartlett of Fort Myers, Florida, Ellen Davis of Wellington, Florida, Kathy Carpenter of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Norma Jean Popadinas of Danville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gutschmidt in 1993, her parents, Ralph Bennett, and Mary (nee Long) Bennett.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
