Mason C. Crowe, 61, of Parma, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 a sister's residence in Lorain following a lingering illness.
Born March 16, 1950 in Irvine, Ky, he came to Lorain in 1955 and attended Clearview High School. In 2003 he moved to Parma.
Mason worked as an over the road truck driver for DS Express in Huron, and for RDF Logistics in Lorain. Prior to this, he worked in the construction business, owning and operating MCC Excavating in Lorain for many years.
He attended Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain. Mason loved trucking and considered it more of a hobby. He also enjoyed county music, watching football and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving is his wife of 8 years, Lioubov (nee Kasilnikova); a son, Mason (Johnna) Crowe Jr., of Palm Bay, Fla; daughters, Michelle Ragg of Lorain, Kimberly (Roland) Loescher of Sheffield Lake, and Nicole Crowe of Lorain; 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Jean (John) Hall and Vera Helen Martin both of Lorain; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Sharon Crowe of Avon Lake.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald in 2008; step son, Constantine Kasilnikova in 1996; a brother, Virgil in 2003; and parents, Virgil and Lizzie (nee Logsdon) Crowe.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 pm. Rev. Jeremy Pinson, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
