Matthew J. Knoll, 20, of Lorain, died Sunday, December 24, 2006 at his residence following a 3 year illness.
He was born Dec. 24, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio; he lived in Attica, Ohio before coming to Lorain in 1989. He also lived in Willard, Ohio in the late 1990's before returning to Lorain.
Matt was a member of Victory Baptist Temple in Elyria, and attended St. Francis Xavier while living in Willard. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing baseball for the city leagues in Willard and Lorain.
Surviving is his mother and step father, Marlene and Daniel Roblesof Lorain; father and step mother, Gary and Deb Knoll of Willard; brothers, Danny Robles Jr. of Lorain, Jessi Knoll of Willard; sister, Melissa Knoll of Davenport, Iowa; step brother, Kyle Harvey of Willard; step sister, Kim Harvey of Willard; maternal grandparents, James and Sylvia Miller of Nevada, Ohio; paternal grandfather and paternal step grandmother, Raymond and Justine Knoll of Willard.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Anna Knoll in 1975.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. R. Michael Cox, pastor of Victory Baptist Temple, Elyria, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian at Bismarck Cemetery, Republic, Ohio at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
