Michael J. Kapalin

Michael John Kapalin, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, Ohio.

Born December 11, 1971 to Charles F. and Elaine D. (nee Panzel) Kapalin in Lorain, Ohio Michael spent his entire life in Lorain.

He was an avid photographer. He loved sports especially the Browns and Indians and enjoyed and ran leagues of all fantasy sports. Michael worked at York international in Elyria for many years. He loved to spend time with family and friends. Michael had a good heart and was loved by many.

His favorite holiday was the 4th of July, which his mom and dad started a family/friend tradition many years ago, therefore this 4th of July will be a memorial to him.

Surviving are his brothers, Chuck, Richard and Mark (Sheryl) Kapalin; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Hannah, Elaine and Elizabeth; cousins, Matthew, Wendy, Jackie, Cody who were very dear to his heart as well as many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Private graveside services will be held.  Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists is handling the arrangements.
