Mildred J. "Millie" Nemeth Silvasy, (nee Kirkpatrick), age 77, of Lorain, died on Wednesday, September 02, 2009 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 6, 1932 in Mansfield, Ohio, living in Lorain most of her life.
Millie was a 1950 graduate of Mansfield High School.
She was a self-employed Interior Decorator for over 20 years. Prior to this she was the secretary for the county commissioner, Jerry Keron.
Millie was a former member of Church of St. Peter.
She had an interest in politics and was an avid shopper, especially for clothes. She also enjoyed traveling and golfing.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Edward S. Silvasy, son, William Nemeth, of Maumee, daughter, Renee Sosby, of St. Petersburg, FL, stepchildren, Judy Junker, of Parma Hts., Jane Diaz, of Parma, and Edward, Jr., of Avon Lake, 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, previous husband, William Nemeth.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2009 from 2:30 until time of service at 3:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. The Rev. Fr. Charles Henkle, OFM Conv., will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
