Mildred C. “Millie” Ybarra (nee Hernandez), age 70 of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Born July 13, 1950 in Manhattan, New York, she moved to Lorain in 1971.
For the past 15 years, Millie had been working as a cashier at Lowe’s in Elyria. Millie loved traveling and going to Las Vegas, her puppies and being in the sun and pool.
Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Raymond; children, Linda (Alan) Perez-Brown of Lorain and Victor M. Perez of Elyria; grandchildren, Julia Davis and Christian Perez; siblings, Sylvia Colon of Elyria, Roberto “Robot” Hernandez of North Ridgeville and Johnny Hernandez of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Carmen (nee Torres) Hernandez; and brothers, Julio Hernandez and Willie Hernandez.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at 4:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialist, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Reuben Figueroa, pastor of TDR Ministries will officiate.
