Miller I. Dunn, age 90, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at his home while under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Born December 12, 1926 in Morgantown, West Virginia, he served in the US Army before moving to Lorain in1963.
Miller worked as a truck driver for Lorain Works US Steel for 30 years, retiring in 2000.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 1104 and enjoyed fishing, hunting and puzzle books.
Surviving is his son, Troy of South Amherst; daughters, Kimberly Faith Dunn of Lorain, Sheri Jo Dunn and Gail (Henry) Brown both of Texas; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Barbara (nee Kinat) Dunn in 2010; his parents; Bryan and Margaret (nee Pietcher) Dunn; and brothers, Carl and William.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Rev. Dempsey Miller, pastor of Lorain Baptist Church will officiate. The Amvets Post 32 Honor Guard will conduct military honors. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
