Minnie Herman

July 18, 1917 — November 4, 2004

Minnie Herman, (nee Stark) 87, of Avon Lake, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.

Born July 18, 1917 in Iliff, Colorado, she moved to Scottsdale, AZ, in 1962. She has resided in this area since 2000.
While living in Scottsdale, AZ, she worked as a clerk for Revco, retiring in 1979 after 17 years there.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross, in Scottsdale, AZ, and Hope Lutheran Church, in Sheffield, OH. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, decorating and sewing.

Surviving is her daughter; Geraldine F. Slanoc of Lorain, and a son; Charles R. Herman of Loveland, Ohio, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, brothers; Solomon Stark of Nisland, South Dakota, and Walter Stark of Newell, South Dakota, sisters; Esther Prickett of Colorado, and Lillian Lehi of Huron, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Victor, a brother; Peter, and a sister; Edna Rogge.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, where funeral services will be conducted at 5:30 p.m. Rev. Gary Georgi, pastor, will officiate.
