Nancy "DeJaVu" Escandon

Nancy "DeJaVu" Escandon (nee Perez), age 40, of Lorain, died on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at her residence, following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 30, 1967 in Bronx, New York, living in Kissimmee, Florida before coming to Lorain.

She attended House of Praise International Church.

Nancy enjoyed being "mom" to all kids, and caring for animals. She also treasured life and loved having parties and celebrating everything.

Surviving is her husband, James Escandon; a son Daniel Santiago of Lorain, Anderson Torres of Westchester, New York, and Joseph Torres of Bronx, New York; daughters, Luz Garcia of Clearwater, Florida, and Xiomari Santiago of Lorain; her mother, Carmen Colon of Puerto Rico; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Mark Hebebrand, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
