Nancy L. Forman, (nee Gardinier), 65, of Amherst, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at her residence, while under the care of New Life Hospice.
She was born Saturday, September 19, 1942 in Buffalo, New York; living in New York before coming to Amherst in 1958.
Nancy worked at Linen''s N More as Store Manager, at Midway Crossing in Elyria, for 3 years. Prior to this she was employed as the head of the domestics dept. for 10 years at Hills Dept. Store in Elyria and Amherst. She also worked at JC Penney for over 8 years.
Surviving is her husband of 46 years, Carl P. Forman; son, Carl P. Forman, Jr. of Amherst; daughter, Cathleen Forman of Amherst; granddaughters, Alexis, Emma and Claire; and several nieces and nephews; a brother, Frank Gardinier of Vermilion, a sister, Kathleen Gardinier of Sheffield.
She was preceded in death by parents, Claud & Helen (nee Forichette) Gardinier; brothers, James Gardinier, Paul Gardinier; and a sister, Helen Hancock.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5th from 10:00 am until the time of memorial services at 11:00 am at Trinity Evangelical Church, 46485 Middle Ridge Road, Amherst. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
