Nancy L. "Blondie" Shrieves, 58, of Lorain, died Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1946 in Wodsworth, Ohio, she came to Lorain in 1972 and has lived here since.
She worked as a caterer for DeLuca's Place in the Park, Lorain, for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, shopping and dining out.
Nancy is survived by her son; Frank "Scooter" Schrieves of Lorain, daughters; Debbie Grunda of Elyria, Wendy Balchak of Vermilion, and 4 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Franklin H. Shrieves in 2000, her parents; Gerald Osterstock in 2004, and Virginia (nee Graber) Osterstock in 1980.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Paul H. Durbin, pastor of North Eaton Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
