Nancy Louise Swinehart (nee Pruchnicki), age 65, of Lorain, passed away on December 31, 2008, at Southwest General Hospital, Berea.
She was born on February 14, 1943, in Lorain, where she has lived her entire life. She attended Lorain High School, later returning to earn her GED at age 58. Besides being a homemaker, she was also a notary public. Nancy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lorain. She enjoyed crafting.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Norman C., Jr, her sons, Norman E., of Lorain, Kenneth A. (Houng), of Gig Harbor, WA, and Terry A. (Lisa), of Lorain, 1 granddaughter,1 grandson, and her sister, Kathleen Johnson, of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Emil and Ruth (nee Parks) Pruchnicki, her brother, Kenneth E., and a sister, Ruth "Cookie" Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 9:00 am. The Rev. Fr. Daniel O. Divas, Pastor of St. Mary, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
