Natalia Nakoneczna, age 79, of Oberlin, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Welcome Nursing Home, Oberlin, following a lengthy illness.
She was born on October 28, 1931 in Wolodz, Poland, moving to Cleveland in 1974 then to Oberlin in 2007.
Natalia was employed for 7 years at Kirkwood, Cleveland.
She was a member of St. John Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church, Lorain.
She is survived by her brother, Julian Nakoneczny of Poland; sister, Sophia Rozmarynowycz, of Oberlin; and several nieces and nephews.
Natalia was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Maria (nee Klym) Nakoneczny; brothers, Stephan and Michael; and sisters, Emilia and Anna.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, with a panachida at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, 3038 Charleston Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Steven Paliwoda, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
