Natividad “Nati” Munoz Rodriguez, 90, passed peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at her home in Lorain, Ohio.
Nati was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on Christmas Day, 1932 to her loving parents, Gervasio "Julio" and Aurelia (nee Torres) Munoz. She graduated from Caguas Senior High School and Cuyahoga Community College (Summa Cum Laude) as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Of her many achievements, in 2003, Nati was presented with The Hispanic American Award for Northeast Ohio by former mayor Dennis Kucinich. In 2006 she was recognized as the first woman counselor for her dedication and commitment to Hispanic UMADAOP at Casa ALMA/Casa MARIA. Nati concluded her career at LCADA, Lorain and devoted much of her time as a Spiritual Care Volunteer at Mercy Health.
As the oldest of eight siblings, she most loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed traveling and reading inspirational books.
Loving mother of Saul A. (Zenaida) Rodriguez, Melissa (Mickey Scodova) Stober and Cynthia (Patrick) Duffy. Loving grandmother of Steven R. Stober, Angela E. (Stuart Carr) Stober, Michael J. Duffy and Sean P. (Emily) Duffy. Loving sister to Leandra, “Chiry” (Ito) Rodriguez, Rosa Munoz, Maria (Myron) Piggott, and Carmen (Patrick) Ozbolt; sister-in-law's, Mary Munoz and Hilda Munoz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gervasio “Julio” and Aurelia Munoz; and siblings Victor Munoz, Feliciano “Felo” Munoz and Johnny Munoz.
