Nelson Flores, age 51, of Geneva, formerly of Lorain, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Manor Home, Geneva.
He was born on August 10, 1959, in Long Branch, New Jersey, moving to this area in 1963.
Nelson graduated from Murray Ridge School. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. He enjoyed bowling, playing board games and working on puzzles.
Nelson possessed a true zest for life. He always enjoyed being with people, especially his family.
He is survived by his parents; Jose A., Sr. and Maria (nee Longo) Flores, of Lorain, and his sisters; Elsie (Robert) Flores-Andorka, of Lorain, Nancy Flores, of Elyria, and Teresa Flores, of Lorain, his niece, Teresa Andorka-Mercurio, and nephews: Michael Andorka, Joshua, Joseph, and Stephen Schmitz, 1 great niece and 2 great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jose A. Flores, Jr., in 1992.
The family will receive friends on Wed., Dec. 1, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where prayers will be held the following morning at 8:45 am. A Funeral Mass will follow at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
