Norma Ann Work, age 65, of Sheffield Lake, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center, Elyria, following a brief illness.
Born on October 30, 1940 in Cleveland, Mrs. Work had lived in Sheffield Lake for most all her life. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School. She had been employed for the Sheffield Lake School System for over 25 years, retiring in 1995. She had been an active member of the House of Praise International Church of Lorain. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Samuel M. Work, Jr., 1 daughter- Janet Lynn Work of Willoughby, OH; 2 sons- Samuel M. Work, III of Elyria and Robert A. Work of Amherst; 3 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother- Jean (nee-Swawell) Cook and her grandson- Aaron Andrew Work.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., in the church with the Rev. Gilbert Silva, pastor, officiating.
