Olga Yavornitzky, 79, of Lorain, died Sunday, April 8, 2007 at her residence following an unexpected illness.
She was born November 5, 1927 in Lorain; where she lived her entire life.
Following graduation from Lorain High School in 1945, Olga worked for S. Wietz Co. in Lorain.
She attended St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain. In her youth, she was a member of the church choir, and enjoyed singing, sewing, and artistry.
Surviving are her brothers, Michael and Joseph, both of Lorain; sisters, Eva Jankowski of Elyria, and Anne Yavornitzky of Middleburg Heights.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Yavornitzky in 1974 and Mary (nee Kuczma) Yavornitzky in 1976; brothers, John in 1979, Andrew during World War II, William and Harry Jr.
Private services for the family where held yesterday in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Milorad Orlich, pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain, officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
