Otilia V. Munoz

Otilia V. Munoz (nee Vallejo), age 87, of Lorain, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at her home, while under the care of Grace Hospice.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1923, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, moving to Lorain in 1952. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. Otilia always looked forward to her family outings and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her sons; Juan (Nora) and Jose (Elba), both of Lorain, Isaias (Minda), of Escondido, CA, Ismael (Betsy), of Old Bridge, NJ, William (Gloria), of NC, Frederico (Rocio), of Winston-Salem, NC, Antonio, of Lorain, Martin (Cathy), of King, NC, and Jaime (Kim), of Lorain, daughters; Carmen (Carl) Ragnoni, Juanita Magdaleno, Hilda (Johnny) Munoz, all of Lorain, Maria Gutierrez, of Springfield, MO, Esther (Adrian) Colon, of Lorain, Margaret (Rodel) Cuenca, of , Ocean Side, CA, Teresa (Jose) Ayala, of New Bern, NC, Antonia Pedroza, of Hillsborough, NC, and Rosie (Joseph) Bridges, of Knightdale, NC. She is also survived by her 45 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren, brother, Julio Vallejo, of Phiadelphia, PA, and sisters; Tonita Vallejo, of Caguas, PR and Francisca Contreras, of NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Rev. Deacon Prudo Munoz Vicens, in 2008, grandchildren; Freddy Burnett, Briana Marie Harris, Kelly Vicens, and Johnny Vicens, Jr., her parents; Luis and Genara (nee Serrano) Vallejo, a brother, Vangelo Vallejo, and a sister, Evarita Vallejo.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan, 25, from 4-8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Friends will also be received on Wed., from 9 am until the time of her funeral Mass at 9:30 am, at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. The Rev. Fr. William Thaden, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
