Patricia Bennington

Patricia A. "Pat" Bennington (nee Anderson), 61 of Lorain, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a 9 month illness.
She was born June 9, 1950 in Cambridge, Ohio, coming to Lorain as an infant. She was a 1969 graduate of Lorain High School.
Pat worked for the Lorain City School System for 18 years, retiring from Lorain High School where she worked in the cafeteria. Until January of this year, she cleaned at Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, Lorain.
She was an active member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, Lorain. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving is her husband of 41 years, Thomas; son, US Marine Master Sergeant Bennington, James (Karen) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a daughter, Joyce (Ray) Super of Lorain; grandchildren, Kylie, Shae, Reece, Gabrielle, and Rebecca; a brother, Kenneth Anderson of Stow, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary (nee VanMeter) Anderson, and a daughter, April Bennington in 1972.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 - 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain. Rev. Greg Sellers, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
