Patricia Jean Weber (nee Aylen), 84, formerly of Avon Lake, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the Elyria United Methodist Village after a brief illness.
She was born September 16, 1921 in Detroit, MI, and lived in Manhattan, New York, Lorain, Chardon and Avon Lake.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles, oil painting and house plants. She was proud to have served as a Deputy Sheriff for Geauga County. She was also a past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War Murray-Mullen Post 451 of Lorain, and was involved in the "Voice of Democracy".
Surviving is her daughters, Lori Acierno of Westlake, Roxana Pravlik of Lorain, sons, Nicholas Bires of Amherst, and Douglas Bires of Norwalk, step-sons, Boyd B. Weber of Lorain, Charles E. Weber Jr. of Sheffield Lake, David R. Weber of Stow, a step-daughter, Christine E. Hochevar of Sheffield Lake, 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, a brother, David Watt of Monroe, NY.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nicholas Bires Sr, in 1974, her second husband, Charles E. Weber, in 2005, her parents, Douglas Aylen in 1988, and Ivy Cory-Aylen in 1931.
According to her wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation and burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to the United Methodist Village, 807 West Ave., Elyria, Ohio 44035.
