Patrick W. Kelley, age 64, of Elyria, died on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Northridge Health Center, North Ridgeville, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 26, 1942 in Warren, Ohio. He was a lifelong resident of the Lorain/Elyria area. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Mary's High School.
Patrick was employed as a salesman at Mike Bass Ford, retiring in 1994, where he was also a 7 time Master Award winner with Ford.
Patrick was an avid sports fan, especially football, basketball and baseball. He was also active in the Lorain Youth Baseball's concession stand. Along with everything else, he was also President of Lorain Catholic's Booster Club.
He was a member of St. Judes Catholic Church, Elyria.
He is survived by his sons: Brian Kelley, Shawn Kelley, daughters: Colleen Sherman, Susan Kelley, and Peggy Kelley, and brother: John A. Kelley, 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Donna J. (nee Holzhauer) in 1992, 2nd wife, Janice Govelovich in 1999, his parents; Aloysius F. and Mary E. (nee Donohue), and a stillborn son, Patrick W. Kelley, Jr., in 1968.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 16th from 3-7 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Ohio, 44035. Rev. Fr. Frank Kosem, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Ohio.
