Patty Nevedale (nee White), 67, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 surrounded by her family.
She was born July 26, 1944 in Braeholm, W.Va. She graduated in 1962 from Man High School in Man, W.Va. Patty moved to Ohio in 1965 where she met and married her late husband, Robert Nevedale. She was employed at Lithonia Downlighting Products for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Keith of Ravenna, Ohio, and Michael of Vermilion; her granddaughter, Crystal and companion Gretchen; her beloved great grandsons, Jose and Alex Matos; a niece Teasha; great nieces, Makayla and Emma; a sister, Merilee (Larry) Shields of Vermilion; and Jim (Ursula) Midkiff of Columbus, Ohio who was always like a brother to her; and several aunts, uncles and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Nevedale; parents, Herbert and Elsie (nee Hamilton); a great grandson, Gabriel Xavier Matos; and her grandparents, Preston and Cora Hamilton and Hubert and Mary White.
Patty enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards with her family, working outside in her yard and gardening when she was able. The one thing that she enjoyed the most was spending time with her great grandsons, Jose and Alex.
In accordance to her wishes, Patty will be cremated and services will be private. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
