Paul D. Springsteen, age 82, of Lorain, died on Thursday, November 17, 2005 in the Emergency Room at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center - West, following a sudden illness.
He was born on June 2, 1923 in Newark, New Jersey, moving to the Lorain area in 1945. Paul had attended NYACK College in Upstate New York.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Lorain and also Templo of Bethel in Lorain.
Paul was an ordained minister, clergyman, and missionary evangelist. He spent time as a traveling missionary evangelist for many years in Ohio, Mexico, Texas, New Jersey and New York.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years: Victoria "Vickie" (nee Rijos) Springsteen, sons: John P. Springsteen, Francisco Lopez, Jr., Abraham Lopez, Alexander Lopez, Peter Morales and Angel Lopez, daughters: Mary Hershberger and Martha Fair, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter, and sister: Elizabeth Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Beffe Springsteen, son: James Lopez and sister: Ruth Whitney.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Templo Bethel Church, 1829 E. 31st Street, Lorain, Rev. Angel Luis Ortiz, pastor will officiate. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, handled the arrangements.
