Petronela Kupiniak

Petronela "Nellie" Kupiniak, age 82, of Lorain, passed away on August 3, 2011 at her home, following a illness of 23 years, due to high blood pressure.
She was born in Lupnyky, Ukraine on August 10, 1928. She immigrated to the United States in 1950.
Petronela was employed as a dental assistant.
She is survived by her sister: Maria Kupiniak Schneider, brother in law: John D. Schneider and nieces: Christina Maria and Julia Petronela, all of Lorain. She is also survived by many second cousins in Otunia, Ukraine.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Julia and Viktor Kupiniak, paternal grandmother: Julia Kupiniak and brothers: Zenon and Viktor.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, August 5, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where a Panachida service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Steven Paliwoda, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
