Ramona Mae Sams, 77, of Lorain, died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at her residence while under the care of New Life Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Born January 16, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio, she moved to Lorain in 1965.
Surviving are her sons, Al Sams of Elyria, Johnny Sams of Michigan, Paul Sams and Ralph Sams of Lorain, and Joe Casarez of Elyria; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sams in 1979; and 4 brothers.
Private services for the family will be held later. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
