Randall H. Bradford, age 81, of Lorain, died on Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center West, Lorain.
Born on September 19, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he moved to Lorain at the age of 19.
He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis and attended Kent State University.
While living in Lorain he worked for American Ship Building Company during the 1940's. He then worked for Fisher Foods, in Lorain, for 10 years and Davey Tree Company, in Kent, Ohio, for almost 20 years. He most recently worked as a security officer for various companies.
He was in fellowship at Grace Gospel Hall, Lorain, having served as elder, correspondent and treasurer. He visited the sick, those incarcerated and enjoyed preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Surviving is his wife of 53 ½ years, Josephine Anna (nee Minch); a son, Jonathan David of Geneva; daughters, Ruth Ann Simmons of Berlin Heights, and Sharon Elizabeth Bradford, of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, brother: Don Bradford of Marietta, GA and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents: George Seth Bradford and Edith Blanch (nee Culbertson) Bradford, their first born son: David Randall Bradford in 1962, due to Leukemia, and his two brothers: George, Harold Eugene Bradford.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m in the funeral home, Elder Bruce Brown, of Grace Gospel Hall, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
