Rashawyn Tyree Thompson

Rashawyn Tyree Thompson, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 28, 2025, in his hometown of Lorain, Ohio. He was born on December 4, 1992, bringing joy to the lives of his family and friends during his years on this Earth.

Rashawyn was known for his deep love for family and friends, which formed the cornerstone of his vibrant personality. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones, always striving to foster connections filled with warmth and laughter. His unique spirit was evident in his passions, which included a fondness for music, a great affection for animals, and a particular enjoyment of watching "That '70s Show."

Rashawyn leaves behind a devoted family who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He is survived by his loving mother, Tashanda Collins; his father, Benjamin Thompson; his sisters, Danesha Thompson and Felicity Thompson; . Each one carries their cherished memories of him, as does the broader community that knew him.

His memory will also be honored by those who have crossed paths with him, even as we remember the family members who preceded him in death—his maternal grandfather, Otha W. Collins, and maternal grandmother, Judy I. Collins; his paternal grandfather, Jay Jackson as well as his uncle Michael Collins and his aunt, Chyrslyn Jackson. Their legacy of love continues through Rashawyn’s life and the impact he had on those around him.

Private services were held.  Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
