Richard "Rick" Abrams

Rick Abrams, age 56, of Lorain, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain, after a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 27, 1957, in Cleveland, living most of his life in Lorain. He also lived in Kentucky for awhile, before moving back to Lorain over a year ago. He was a 1976 graduate of Southview High School. Rick worked at Ford Motor Company, in Lorain and Louisville, where he retired from. Rick loved riding his Harley and hanging out with his friends.
He is survived by his brother Dave, of Lorain, sisters; Kathy Thomas, of Lorain and LuAnn Coviello, of Dallas, GA, and his nephews; Paul and Derek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Margaret (nee Kopera), and a sister, Sharon Muriello.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6 -9 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, at 10:00 am. Rev. John Slatcoff, Deacon of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp., OH.
