Richard W. Andorka, 63, of Lorain, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born March 29, 1949 in Lorain, he lived in Lorain his entire life. Richard graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 1967, and then served in the US Air Force until 1973.
He worked as an electrician in the rolling mill of Republic Technologies International, Lorain, for 37 years, retiring in 2009.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers Union 1104, the Veterans of Foreign War Post 451, and Amvets Post 47. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving is his brother, Bob (Elsie) of Lorain; a nephew, Michael Andorka; and a niece, Teresa Andorka Mercurio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hazel (nee Kerkes) Andorka.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain. Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
