Richard J. Bohoric, age 59 of Elyria Township, passed away on November 9th, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born on March 27, 1957 in Amherst, he lived in Lorain and moved to Elyria Township in 1977. He graduated from Lorain Admiral King in 1975.
Richard worked as a parts clerk for Joyce Buick. Prior to that, he worked for A&C Tire in Lorain for 25 years as a mechanic, and BF Goodrich Tire Store in Lorain.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria. Richard enjoyed buying and restoring old cars, riding his Harley motorcycle, and working on and repairing his family member's cars.
Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Barbara (nee Peggs); sons, Walter Godles of Amherst and Ryan Godles of Elyria; daughters, Grace Terry of Kearney, MO and Amanda Bohoric of Memphis, TN; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and a sister Elizabeth Ann Field of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Bohoric in 1984 and Helen (nee Janus) Bohoric in 1986; and a daughter, Wendy Burkey in 2001.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 2:00-6:00 PM in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday, November 14, 2016 at 9:30 AM in the funeral home followed by mass at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 N Ridge Road, Elyria. Reverend Donald Dunson Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. To send online condolences go to
