Richard L. "Rick" Searles

Richard L. “Rick” Searles, age 63, of South Lorain, died Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake, Ohio, after a five-year illness with cancer.

Born in Madison, West Virginia, he lived in Cleveland before moving to Lorain in 2000.

Rick worked at Swagelok in Strongsville for two years.  Before this, he worked at Standby Screw Machine Products for 16 years.

He enjoyed sports, concerts, Beatles music, and Beatles collectibles.

Surviving is his wife of 15 years, Diane (nee Howard); sons, Robert Searles and Richard (Inez) Searles; grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter, Izzy, and MaKenzie; brothers, Jimmy Searles and Mike Searles; sisters, Drema (Joe) Clark, Karen (Randy) Carlton, and Charlotte Searls; and nieces, Crystal LeMar and Candace Searles.

His mother, Delores Mae Scott, and brothers, Greg Searles, Robby Searls, and Ronny Searls, preceded him in death.

In honoring Rick’s wishes, he was cremated.   Dovin Funeral & Cremation Specialists handled the arrangements.
