Richard Rick Allan Slusher, age 56, of Lorain, died on Friday, January 7, 2005 at his residence due to a heart attack.
He was born on December 6, 1948 in Berea, Ohio. He moved to Lorain in 1959 coming from Cleveland.
He served in the United States Army during Vietnam Era.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns Fan and Cleveland Indians Fan, he enjoyed fishing, camping, playing poker and loved taking his dog to Hot Waters in the early mornings.
He is survived by his companion of 5 years: Margaret Karnes, of Lorain, sons: Eric Slusher and Damien Laubenthal, both of Lorain, 2 grandchildren, brother: Dean Slusher, of Grafton, sister: Phylliss Slone, of Lorain, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar Slusher and Ethel (nee Bishop) Hall, step-father: Donald S. Hall, sister: Barbara Dean Slusher in infancy and 1 nephew: Christopher Slone.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 10, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain.
