Robert L. Komlosi

Robert "Pappa Bob" L. Komlosi, age 63, of Lorain, died on Monday, August 28, 2006 at his residence, while under the care of New Life Hospice, following a brief illness.
He was born on July 27, 1943 in Lorain, he was a lifelong resident.
He served in the United States Marine Corp as a Bridgeman, from 1959 to 1963. He earned the Good Conduct Medal and the Marksmanship Badge.
Robert was employed as a manager at US Steel/Kobe, retiring in 1999. After retirement, he was employed at Displays Displays Displays, Lorain, until April of 2006.
He enjoyed fishing, wood working, grilling and barbecuing, and taking his grandson on tractor rides.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Ann (nee Guehring) son: Robert "Bo" Komlosi, of Lorain, daughter: Candy Perez, of Lorain, his 2 grandsons, and 3 sisters; Fran Dumboff and Sandra Benco, both of Lorain, and Debbie Barnes, of Sheffield Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William, in 1982, and Nora (nee Scalzitti) Komlosi, in 1992, and a sister, Carolynn Komlosi, in 1994.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 31, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends the following morning in the funeral home, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Jeremy Heitkam will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp, Ohio.
