Robert F. "Butch" Landers, age 55, of Lorain, died on Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Community Health Partners HSC-West, Lorain, after a long illness.
He was born on November 27, 1952 in Poca, West Virginia, moving to Lorain in 1972.
He attended the Sheffield Church of God. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers, and fixing televisions and cars.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda F. (nee Ford), sons; Robert, Jr. and Michael, both of Lorain, daughters; Connie Meade and Misty Cotto, both of Lorain, and his 5 grandchildren, sisters; Connie Northcut, of North Ridgeville and Shelby Rock, of Buffalo, W. VA, and brothers; Arnold, of Vermilion and George, of CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Williard and Dorothy G. (nee Bailey) Landers, 3 sisters; Betty Craigo, Phyllis Nickage, and Jane Dunn, and a brother, Keith Landers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 5 - 7 pm, at the Sheffield Church of God, 2280 North Abbe Road, Sheffield, OH 44054, where services will be held the following morning, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. The Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling arrangements.
