Roman Wlaszyn, age 45, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at University Hospitals of Cleveland, following a short illness.
He was born on September 1, 1960 in Amherst, he lived in Lorain and in Boca Raton, Florida.
Roman had graduated from Southview High School in 1978. He also attended Lorain Community College.
He was a General Contractor for many years involved in various local projects. He was also entering the field of public adjusting and estimating. Roman enjoyed acting and antique cars, travel and art. He participated in several films, including "Against the Ropes" with Meg Ryan, "Miracle Dogs" with Kate Jackson, and "Mohammed Ali" with Will Smith, to name a few. He not only acted in these movies, but provided production support and the cars, through his company called Casting All Cars.
He is survived by his daughters: Natalie Wlaszyn and Alexandra Wlaszyn, both of Lorain, mother: Ada (nee Klymenko) Wlaszyn, of Lorain, brother: Victor Wlaszyn, of Akron, sisters: Andriana Christine Riera, of Boca Raton, Florida and Irene V. Wlaszyn of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father: Iwan Wlaszyn in 1980.
Private services were held by the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Steven Paliwoda, pastor of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, offi
