Rosa Maria Torres

Rosa Maria Torres (nee Adames), age 81, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2014.
She was born on January 15, 1932, in Lares, Puerto Rico and had lived in Lorain for most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel and enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
Rosa is survived by her daughters; Norma (Jim) Hattala, of Orlando, FL, Gladys (Dan) Brennan, of Sandusky, Carmen "Terri" (Dan) Hassler, of North Ridgeville, and Sandra Lopez-Torres, of Lorain, 15 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren, and her sisters; Maria Ortencia Adames, of PR, Carmen Adames, of NY, Ana Adames, PR, and Lucy Adames, of FL.
She was preceded in death by her son, Rafael Quiles, in 1995, her parents, her 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan, 9th, from 4- 8 pm, in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, where closing prayers will be held on Friday, at 9:30 am. Her funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 am, at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish (The former St. John Roman Catholic Church), 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. The Rev. William Thaden, Pastor of Sacred Heart Chapel, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
