Rose M. Justice (nee Gee), 77, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 19, 1939 in Grayson, Kentucky, to the late Harlan and Jeanette (nee Cassity) Gee. She graduated from Prichard High School in Grayson in 1957 then moved to Lorain that same year where she has lived since.
Rose was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Elyria, and enjoyed decorating cakes, flower gardening and cooking.
Surviving is her husband of 57 years, James Lester Justice; daughters, Theresa (Jim) Sharp and Melanie Withrow both of Lorain; and Leslie (Joseph) Shrenkel of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda Gee of Yonkers, New York.
Besides her parents, Rose was also preceded in death by her daughters, Eva and Rebecca; a sister, Joyce Weatherford; and a brother, Theodore Gee.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 in the funeral home. Rev. Chris LaLonde, pastor of4Cornerstone United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
