Rose (nee Miedzwicdzow) Kozie, age 83, of Lorain, died on Monday, February 7, 2005 at Oak Hills Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born on May 11, 1921 in Stalingrad, Russia she moved to Lorain in 1951.
Rose was a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church. She was employed at the Lorain Water Department for 29 years.
Rose enjoyed watching old movies on the television.
Surviving her is her son, Richard Kenny Trela, and close friends, Sarah and Kenny Knick and family of Lorain.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 23 years, Stanley Kozie, in 1992, her son, John Trela, in 1988, her step-son Alex Kozie, in 1989, and her parents, Ivan and Anisha Miedzwicdzow.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 11, 2005 from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Ave., Lorain, with the Deacon Robert Dybo, Deacon of Nativity BVM Catholic Church officiating in the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
