Rose E. Preteroti

Rose Elaine Preteroti, age 84, of Lorain, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.
Born on October 16, 1930 in Allison, PA, she lived in Cleveland and Lakewood before moving to Lorain in 1987.
Rose was employed as a secretary at Adult Parole Authority in Cleveland. She also worked various jobs in hospitals and insurance companies.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lorain, where she participated in many church activities. She loved to sing and dance and enjoyed reading and watching television. She also loved to write letters.
She is survived by her son, Tony Kerpel of Miami, Florida; a brother, Dominick Preteroti of Mertztown, Pennsylvania; and sister, Angela Goetz of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (nee Marcielo) Preteroti; and brother, Joseph Daniel in 1950.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am at St Mary Catholic Church, 309 W. 7th Street, Lorain. Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor will officiate.
