Rose H. Toth, (nee Useen), 85, of Lorain, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital following a short illness.
She was born Oct. 31, 1922 in Cleveland, moving to Inez, KY at the age of 12 and lived there until coming to Lorain at the age of 21.
She had worked as the head cashier for Hills Dept Store in Lorain. She was an avid bowler at Rebman's Recreation, Lorain, and enjoyed crocheting and bingo.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Kerecz and Elizabeth "Betty" Wilhelm both of Lorain, and Christine Toth of Garfield Heights; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Tudich of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John T. Toth in 2002; a daughter, Nancy J. Yanick in 1981; parents, Frank Useen in 1971 and Victoria (nee Arvay) Useen in 1983; and a half sister, Alma Kellman.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6-8 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. The family will also receive friends on Monday from 10:30 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Rev. Deacon William Schill, will officiate. Burial will follow.
