Russell A. Yavornitzky, 65, of Madison, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Geneva Memorial Hospital in Geneva, Ohio, following a lengthy illness. He was a resident of Stewart Lodge in Madison for over 30 years.
Born April 6, 1945 in Lorain, he moved to Madison many years ago.
He was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain, and enjoyed Polka music and had a passion for cars.
Russell is survived by his brother, Michael of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael in 2008, and his mother, Nathalie Rose (nee Strouse) Yavornitzky in 1991.
The family will receive friends on will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 am in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Aleksa Pavichevich pastor of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
