Ruth Madeline Duley (nee Jeffers), 83 of Lorain, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
Born April 10, 1926 in Cascade, West Virginia, she grew up in Kingwood, W.V, before coming to Lorain in the early 1950's.
Ruth was a member of Broadway Assembly Church, Lorain and enjoyed being with her family.
Ruth is the loving mother of Dennis (Wendy) of Wakeman, Kathy Escue of Vermilion and Janet (Bob) Reaser of Lorain; dear grandmother of Tracy (Frank) Johnson, Thomas William Escue and Chad Reaser; beloved great grandmother of Peyton Reaser; beloved sister of Olga Mae (John) McCullough of Sheffield Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, William J. in 2000; parents, Joseph William Jeffers and Vernie (nee Smith) Vaughn; and a brother and seven sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the Dovin Funeral Home, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at Broadway Assembly Church, 5495 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Rev. Matt Jones, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
