Ruth G. Lovell

It is with great sadness that we announce that Ruth G. Lovell (nee Gills), age 80, of Amherst, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 following a full and meaningful life.

Ruth was born June 5, 1939 in Bluefield, West Virginia and made her home in Amherst for most of her life. 

Ruth was loved by everyone that knew her and will be sadly missed by her long-time companion, Larry Watson; her children, Vickie Lovell, Mona (Wayne) Duvall and Joe and Rita Gills; grandchildren Garrett Lovell, Skylar (Paige) Lynch, Joey Rodriguez-Lovell, Michael (Amanda) Duvall, Dalton Duvall and Dusty Cheyenne Duvall; and 8 great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Leander Lovell in 1977; a son, Joey Leander Lovell in 2017; a granddaughter, Jessica Watson; parents, Stewart and Callie (nee Scott) Gills; and six brothers and six sisters.
